Hello Peeps
Have just had the most excelent day/evening for a multi birthday blowout. We started at Bluebeckers at midday and had a few little drinkies. Then went by 4x4 limo to London, where we frequented a few bars before scooting over to G.A.Y at about midnight and dancing untill 3am. We didn't make it home untill four, but a good time was had by all, as the pictures atest to. While at the club we saw the winners of Pop Stars the Rivals, they were dressed in really auful sequined numbers and only two of them could sing, with only two others actualy looking nice, while the other three looked like they had been working on the streets and a habit for the last two years. Even so the bitching was fun!!

LISA - Dear All, it is amazing to me that occasionally and usually when you least expect it, you meet very interesting people. Last night I went to see The Lady in the Van by Alan Bennett at Richmond Theatre. This is the fifth production I have seen there this season and some have been fantastic and others not so good. Last week I went with Gill my aunt to see a play called Clouds by Michael Frayn which I loved, it was set in Cuba and some of it was in Spanish which was brilliant as I have just started to learn Spanish also it was a very entertaining play. This may make me a philistine but I prefer my experience at the theatre to be entertaining first and if I learn something that is incidental.
Anyway last night mum and I went to see Lady in the Van we went to a nice restaurant first and then made our way and saw the first half. Which I have to admit although funny was quite slow. In the interval mum disappeared off and I stood in the aisle because my knees are bad at the moment. I struck up a conversation with an elderly couple, he had the new hearing system and was favorably impressed. We talked about plays all of us had seen the new Alan Bennett play The History Boys at the National Theatre and we seem to have a lot in common. We were talking about a production we had seen several weeks ago, Blythe Spirit with Penelope Keith playing Madame Arcarti and how good it was and the gentleman happened to mentioned he had seen a lot of Noel Coward plays and in fact had seen Noel Coward in one of his productions many years ago. OH MY GOD a man who actually saw Noel Coward perform and Dame Sybil Thorndike and on and on. I always think of actors like that as far away in the distant past, as part of the British black and white films in the thirties and forties. I love meetings like that when the past and present seem to collide, very cool. The second half of the play by the way was much better. Lisa
