The New Flat
It's been ages since I posted, but we were having technical difficulties. It has been a mad year which has culminated in Dan and I (on a whim) deciding to move out!! The flat is in a block called Du Cane Court in Balham. It was built c. 1920 and is where they film a lot of Agatha Christie type stuff. We are on the fifth floor with all south facing windows, so the sun blazes in which is good for getting the washing dry. The neighbor's seem nice, well all of them apart from the man we have dubbed Mr Psycho who is about 75 and tried to pick a fight with one of our friends the day we moved in! He lives on the floor above so we haven't seen him since and fingers crossed, we won't see him ever again! We have already had two big nights out in town and enjoyed not having to leave at eleven to get the last train home. Infact if the amount of times your throw up is in proportion to the good time you had, I just had the best night of my life!! Anyway here are some photos from before we moved in. For those of you who know about my sad obsession with the weather you should check out the view, the thunder storm last week was amazing!!!!!!!

Summers Over
Well the Summer is now over as far as I am concerned, when you have to have your first log fire in Dorset I think that is a fairly good bench mark. Nothing widly exciting is happening to me a present same old same old. I have been to the theatre a bunch this summer and have been writing reviews so check them out at www.musicomh.com I have also been writing cinema reviews, although less of those.
I have also taken on some more tutoring, although this time it is GCSE English to a very nice girl who lives locally but it means I have to dig out my Romeo and Juliet again (sigh). There also looks like some A level history on the cards as well, much more my kind of thing.
As you will see Laura has moved out, and while I miss her dreadfully it is at leat tidy now at Hunt Towers - it is weird I put stuff down and it is there the next day-weird!!
For those who know Irish Jane she is teaching in Leeds at the moment ( I reckon she should make her students call her Dr Grogan - hell she sweated blood for four years she should use the power) Then she has been very clever and got a two year post doc back in Galway so I think the holidays will have to be in Ireland next.
As for work I have a few more weeks left in Mental Health and (I want no sniggering) then I go to Florida and Chicago for a well earned rest and to see Scooter, Eddie and with any luck Suzanne (who we met in Spain a couple of years ago). I look forward to doing some serious shopping, sleeping and copious visits to the cinema - can't wait. Also we have booked to see Wicked when we are in Chicago which I am very much anticipating with pleasure.
What then, well then I need to find a job to pay for all the Florida damage (sigh) but I shall worry about that then. Also lots more theatre this winter and of course the now annual delight that is the Halloween Party (costumes and alcohol a really wonderful combination). But best of all of course is that winter will be here- jumpers, tights, boots and of course CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! - LISA
